"As Seen in Motels" Discount Store

Get Rich Quick! Inner Circle member Ben Flesh is developing a prototype business opportunity based on the "As Seen on TV" concept. His retail store is called "As Seen in Motels." He sells all the wonderful things you enjoy on your motel stays, including little soaps, little bottles of shampoo, conditioner and moisturizers, towels and washclothes with name brands (Holiday Inn, Motel 6, Sheraton, etc.), foil packets of coffee, hangers, and handy "Do Not Disturb" doorhangers. There's a section for the "Things you forgot to pack" items available upon request at motel front counters, such as toothbrushes, toothpaste, disposable razors, and even tampons. The prototype "As Seen in Motels" store, (opened last month just off the turnpike near Breezewood, PA) boasts a discount book section with a large selection of Gideon Bibles, and TravelHost and Where?! tourist publications from across the country, a wide selection of gently used televisions, alarm clocks, microwaves and coffee pots, as well as innovative irons that clip onto special ironing boards. According to Ben, the classic selection of campy wall artwork and faux wood stand-up and hanging lamps are the surprise hit of the newly opened concept. Given the positive initial response, it is likely Flesh will begin offering "As Seen in Motels" franchise opportunities by the summer. While he wouldn't disclose the source of his inventory, he boasts that his cost-of-goods is a "little above 0%." For more information, post a comment or contact Richard Quick at
